A mental health crisis forced me to reevaluate the important things in life. I quit my job, jumped in the sea, picked up a pencil and started to draw for the first time in over a decade. A riot of emotion, colour and love was born. Telling beautiful stories that celebrate the wild magic that lives inside you. I’m Natalie and I have been making pottery in Cornwall since 2001. I love colours and textures and am inspired by seascapes.

When looking for earrings to wear on my Zoom calls during the Covid-19 lockdowns, I struggled to find anything that really stood out to me as detailed, feminine, lightweight, and UK made. I like to think that my products fill this gap, but I suppose you should be the judge of that!

The British seasons are where I draw my floral inspiration from. I create sustainable (no pesticides or plastic), natural arrangements from my own field flowers through April to November, and use British flowers the rest of the year. Hi I'm Emma, owner of Klys Ceramics. I’ve been creating wheel thrown ceramics from my studio for four years. We make beer... the brewery that brought you offensive slogans, wildly inconsistent beers (both the highs and lows of which have yet to be equalled), and just a generally disappointing attitude has landed in North Cornwall like a crashed bird and we are making beer here and nobody really understands why. And yet here we are.

I love creating new and individual designs. I travel to meet other independent artisans and we work together to create beautiful pieces that are all about slow, not fast, fashion.

What I love about illustrating, and more recently nail art, is telling a story through one piece of art, finding a visual answer to a client's (or my!) idea. This usually all starts with a conversation to get to the heart of what someone wants - whether that's discussing what you love most about your Granny for a personalised illustrated card for her birthday, or what would make you smile every time you looked down at your nails that week. I then get stuck into the process - thumbnail sketches, researching and finding inspiration then bringing it all to life through drawing and choosing colour palettes.

We're French pastry chefs. After studying the beautiful art of patisserie in France we moved to London for 3 years before we visited and fell in love with Newquay. We decided to open our own patisserie here in early 2017. From the creation of Choukette, we've worked hard in the kitchen and in the shop to bring a bit of France to Newquay, making our dream come true by offering a tasty range of pastries, macarons, desserts and confectionery.

I’m Amy, Mum to Daisy who was six when I started this project. Moonlit Mill was born out of a desire to reduce plastic in the everyday lives of babies and children. SilverBea is my collection of handmade jewellery from the heart of Cornwall. As a one woman business I utilise everything this county has to offer and all my pieces are lovingly crafted using locally sourced silver and sea glass.

Born out of a demand for local produce, we started by having a leave-your-money-in-the-tin veg box at the top of the lane. Now however, we sell a full range of our farm grown veg and free range meat and the shop sells produce from well over 100 local and artisan suppliers. Origin and quality are the keys to our sourcing policy. We aim to source primarily from the farm. Then wherever possible, from Cornish producers.

I have always handmade gifts for friends and their kids, love seeing their joy when they see it so started my own little business to spread more.
